International students – How to make a complaint

When you come to Poland as an international student, you can expect to receive a high-quality education and feel safe and well - supported while you live and study here.

If you have a complaint, it is important to follow the right steps.

Here is what you could consider:

·         Ask your university to resolve your complaint

Your university is your first point of contact for any complaint that you might have.

There is a formal complaint procedure in place for you to go through at Wroclaw Medical University. You can either contact your Dean’s Office or send your complaints via the Education Quality Mailbox that is available under the following link: https://app.umw.edu.pl/skrzynka-jakosci/

·         If your complaint is not resolved, contact the Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Education and Science at www.mein.gov.pl and www.mz.gov.pl

These government institutions may not directly assess your complaint but they can prompt your university to investigate your concerns. The Ministry can also offer guidance on your next steps to be taken.

·         Get in touch with the Student Ombudsman

The Student Ombudsman is part of the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland. It intervenes in cases of violations of students’ rights at universities and many preventive activities to raise awareness of the students’ rights and qualifications.

The Ombudsman for Student Rights is Mateusz Kuliński.

If you require assistance or advice, you can contact the Ombudsman through the Office of the Student Ombudsman at: helpdesk.psrp.org.pl

There is no charge for this service.
